Hi friends!
I want to share something really exciting I’m noticing in my own life lately — how much my food choices are transforming my energy levels — and how that’s changing everything about my days, especially how I show up for my family.
Let me be real with you: There have been so many times when I just didn’t have the energy to keep up. You know those long, adventure-packed days with kids? Well, before, I’d often run low on fuel, and it showed. My mood would dip, I’d snap at someone, or just have to call it quits early — no more adventures, no more fun. And that left everyone feeling a little off, a little somber.
But cue to yesterday. I had one of the longest days adventuring with three teenagers and my 3-year-old. From 8 AM to 10:30 PM we were on the go — walking, laughing, playing, dreaming. And I felt great the whole time. Why? Because I made very specific food choices. Protein at every meal — eggs, chicken, tuna — plus veggies for fiber and minerals, and beans for fullness and sustained energy.
Those choices gave me steady, strong energy all day long. I was able to truly show up, be present, and be a cooperative component in their dreams. That feeling of being able to give my family my best — it’s priceless.
Here’s something else I want to add: Two food components that used to be my go-to — sugar and caffeine — are purposely left out these days. Since my journey to healing my stress and supporting my adrenals, I no longer include them. And here’s the irony — sugar and caffeine are supposed to give you energy, right? But what I’ve discovered, especially after getting past the detox phase, is that not including them actually frees me up to have a steady, strong amount of energy every day. They’re no longer whipping my adrenals or burning me out early in the day.
This steady energy has changed my life. It’s changed how I parent, how I see myself, and how I plan my days. And honestly, it only took understanding a bit about food chemistry and making it a priority.
Everyone’s Journey Is Unique — No Matter Where You Are
I want to acknowledge that some of you reading this might be facing health challenges or illness right now. Maybe you’re in a place where your body feels overwhelmed or you’re managing chronic symptoms. That’s okay. No judgment, only compassion.
Health isn’t about perfection or quick fixes. It’s a journey, and every step you take toward caring for yourself counts. Whether you’re managing disease, moving through recovery, or simply wanting to feel better day by day — you are exactly where you need to be to start moving toward greater well-being.
The Three States of Health — And Hope for All
I think about health as a spectrum, not a label:
When you’re in the midst of illness or struggle, it’s a time for healing and gentle care. Your body is asking for attention and love.
When you’re feeling “okay” but not vibrant, you’re in a space where small changes can make a big difference.
And then there’s the thriving state, where you wake up feeling energized, clear, and ready to embrace life fully.
Wherever you are on this spectrum, know that growth is possible. I’m committed to staying in the thriving state — but I also honor every part of the process, including the hard days and healing times.
Why Energy Matters More Than You Think
Energy isn’t just about feeling awake. It’s about showing up in your life and for the people you love with joy and patience. When your energy is steady, you’re calm. You’re clear-headed. You’re ready for whatever the day throws at you — without relying on adrenaline crashes or stressful highs and lows.
That’s why I’m inspired by people like Karen Hurd — she’s 64 and has boundless energy. She outperforms people half her age — not because she’s running on sugar or caffeine, but because her adrenal glands are healthy and balanced. She lives in that thriving state — where you feel fantastic every day.
Where I’m Going — And Why I Want You to Come With Me
I’m on a journey toward this thriving state, where health and energy support the life I want — filled with adventure, joy, and deep connection. And I want to invite you to join me, no matter where you are on your health journey.
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just starting out — this space is for you. Let’s explore together how small changes in food and mindset can create huge shifts in energy, mood, and how you show up every day. Because life’s too short for feeling anything less than your best — and your best days are still ahead.
Are you ready to step into your power, your energy, and your fullest life? I’m here to coach, support, and cheer you on every step of the way.
Let’s do this — together!
With love,
Diana
